Bunny Weekend

It was a weekend full of Easter fun for Olive and fam! It all stated with an Easter Egg hunt at the school. Olive made out like a bandit during the egg hunt...we were worried she wouldn't get many eggs but she took off like a woman on a mission when they yelled "go." It was quite funny. We spent the remainder of the morning at the playground where she played with our friend's daughters, Kylie, Meghan, and Maddie.

Then next day we were happy to find that the Bunny found our house and delivered way too much candy and toys for Olive. We even went back to the school to fly a kite. Hamilton joined us and even decided to follow us onto the slide and "shaky bridge." It was quite a departure from his usual timidness. It was an Easter miracle!

Our Little O

We have been having some computer troubles as of late, which is one of the reasons blog posts not have been coming as frequently. We finally upgraded and purchased a new computer and Dad has been playing with movie maker. This is my first attempt, not sure how it will translate to the blog, but I would be happy to burn a copy for anyone that wants one. I'm sure as we get better, we will be making more of these fun little 'movies'.

Enjoy.

P.S. Be patient, it may take a second to load and you may have to hit play, pause, then play again. It's a large file.

Mr. Turtle

It was a beautiful afternoon here at the Canyon so we did some playing outside. Olive got out her pal Mr. Turtle for a little ride around the neighborhood.

For a good laugh go back to a blog entry from December 2008 to see another video of Olive being pushed on Mr. Turtle. Not only have her riding skills improved, but look at how much more hair she has.

You may have noticed a new look for the blog. Just thought we would shake things up a bit. Let us know what you think,

Visitors

Sorry it's been so long between posts. Things have been a bit hectic around here.

Olive has had a few more visitors lately. Grandma and Papa Mike stopped by on their way to Indiana. Mom stayed a bit longer to help out after Dad's surgery. Olive loves to have people around to entertain and show off all her tricks.

Sorry about the lack of pictures during Grandma and Papa Mike's visit...we misplaced our camera for a few days.

Tucson

Molly had a week of training in Tucson, so Olive and I tagged along and explored the city. We hit the zoo, the children's museum and a spring training game. It was too cool to swim but that didn't stop us from spending some time poolside.

The Red Dot

We bought Hamilton a new toy last week - a laser red dot. Who knew Olive would love it as well.

A visitor and Valentine's Day

Our friend Vicki (you may remember her from previous blog posts) came to visit us over the past weekend. Olive enjoyed having Vicki around, but couldn't quite get her name right. As a result, she became known as "This One". Olive would say, "This One come?" Vicki knew just how to make Olive happy by reading her stories and doing arts and crafts.

After Vicki left for her summer job in Moab we celebrated Valentine's Day. Olive, of course, was spoiled by the family. The highlight of her day was her new umbrella from Pop Pop and Grandma. We even took it for a walk around the block.

Olive on film

Sorry about the quality, I took this with my phone, but I thought it was cute enough to share.

Olive the Chef

Tonight Olive decided to treat her Monsters to a delicious meal of cookies, coffee and birthday cake. She was very busy cook and waitress as she distributed fresh napkins, forks, spoons and "microwaved" everyone's coffee and cookies. The whole time she was talking to her customers saying, "Here you go Monker," and "Oh, Monker!" (The third to the last picture Olive wanted to hold the "Monker's" hand.)
