Book Club

Olive has always been a fan of books, we have been reading to her since she was first born. There are a few books she has heard over and over and likes to read along.

Hula Hoop, Baseball & Gnomes

A ranger in the park (Betsy) made a hula hoop for Olive. She isn't much of a hula girl but she does like to run around with it. Thanks Betsy!


Will and Olive also got to spend some time together watching the All Star Game on TV. It is always a good day for a little baseball with dad.


To top my week off, I was lucky enough to meet the Travelocity Roaming Gnome. Yes. It is really him and he is really on a mule. Go gnome.

Visitor!

This past week we had a visit from my good friend Kristy. We went sightseeing around the park and took a couple of day hikes down into the canyon. We had lots of laughs, discussions of improper use of quotation marks, and as you will see below a slew of canyon modeling. We did have to "pump the breaks" a few times. "True."

As promised...a few more pictures from around the house. Also a few shots of Olive visiting the horses we use for patrol on the South Rim. She loves to make her horse noises when we go to visit the boys.

On the Rim

Our move is complete. Our official moving crew came in and we knocked out all the boxes in just a few days. We are now officially residents of the Grand Canyon. We love our place, and for the first time in a long time, Molly and I both love our jobs.

We have an extra bedroom, come out and visit.

Happy Fathers Day!

It was a quiet Father's Day around our house. We spent the day running errands and getting ready for our big move up to the canyon. We are really excited but there is so much work to be done....

Olive gave Daddy his gifts first thing this morning and he loved them all. Then she topped the day off by giving a spectacular dance performance. Only a small portion made it to film but we know you will enjoy it!
