A day in the parks

We are finally getting some Spring weather and we spent a recent Saturday morning exploring the Smokies.  The afternoon was spent in a local park scooter riding.

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was very busy.  Olive dyed eggs, attended multiple Easter egg hunts and of course had a visit from the Bunny himself.

Grandma and PopPop

As usual, we have projects for our house guests.  This time it was stripping wall paper and painting.  I think everyone had fun despite all the hard work (or maybe because of it).  At any rate, think twice before coming to visit...we'll put you to work.

3 questions

Many nights after putting Olive to bed she will come out of her bedroom, peek out from the stairs and impart some wisdom. Last night was an instant classic.

She said, "I've got three things to say:
Number 1: Why do I have two Slinky Dogs?
Number 2: When is Santa coming again?
Number 3: Why when I get up in the morning and see the trees is it not time to get up on the Hello Kitty clock?"

Molly and I could hardly stop laughing to answer.

One Second Everyday

I have an app on my phone called 1 Second Everyday and so for the last month or so I have been taking a video everyday.  I select a 1 second snippet and the app mashes them together to make a little movie.  Olive has enjoyed helping and of course, watching.  I'm sure it will be more fun as it gets longer and longer.  Here's a preview...

Hot Springs, NC

Yesterday we packed up everyone up (including Hamilton) and took a day trip to Hot Springs, NC.  Hot Springs is a little town on the Appalachian Trail.  Daddy got relive some hiking memories and we all got to enjoy a beautiful day on the Trail.
