Olive meets Auntie Kristy
This blog could also be titled, "The Many Faces of Kristy and Olive."
Olive is fortunate to have two wonderful Aunts by blood, and many more Aunts by love and friendship. One of them came to visit this weekend. Kristy and her dog Queso braved winter conditions and drove all the way from Santa Fe to visit the Jaynes brood. Olive was an angel as usual, guests seem to bring out the best in her. Molly and I also enjoyed having someone around who knows just as many bad TV lines as we do.
Chunky.

More Family Pics
We thought we would throw on some more pictures of Will's family's visit and a few we took on Valentine's Day. Olive got lots of cards and nice gifts from our wonderful family across the country and a special book from Mom and Dad. She was of course VERY excited....

Happy Trails
Olive took her first trail hike on Sunday. We dropped out of the chilly Flagstaff weather and into the refreshing sunshine in Sedona. We walked a mile or so into Fay Canyon and saw birds, and Red Rocks and lots of people and dogs. It was a wonderful first hike and we are looking forward to many more.

Olive loves company!
Olive had a few more visitors this past weekend. Grandpa Jaynes and Kim braved the snow and chilly weather to spend some time with little Olive. Olive, of course, was on her best behavior with guests around as she always is. She didn't make a peep as she was carted around town while the grownups ate and poked around downtown. She was also silent while Grandpa put together her new jogging stroller. She was a perfect angel during our trip down to Sedona (stay tuned for pictures from Olive's first trail hike).
We had a wonderful, albeit too short, visit with Grandpa and Kim. The house is quiet once again leaving us to think about how much we miss our families...

What a World
Little O is beginning to realize that there is more to do in the world than just sleep, eat and poop (although these remain her favorite past times). She likes to sit up (with some assistance), study our faces, watch as her mobile toys pass in front of her face, gaze at her reflection in her mirror, and make cute "coo" and "caa" noises. She has even rewarded us with real non gas induced smiles! Any ideas on who she looks like? We are undecided...
We also received a ton of snow last week and are still in the process of digging out. We have over 4 foot high drifts around the house. The biggest problem is that we have run out of places to put the snow! Hopefully it will melt off a little this week...we love snow but are ready for a break...
Don't forget to check the previous blog entry! It is Olive's video debut!

What a week!
It's been a busy week for young Olive. She watched Daddy return to work, went grocery shopping, attended a party, walked around the neighborhood, and helped Mom and Dad get their taxes done. All that running around makes a girl sleepy.
