Cheese!

We have been getting ready for the holidays (including someone's birthday) and trying to stay warm as the cold weather moves in. Olive has been staying busy counting and saying the alphabet. She also loves to sing and dance to all kinds of music.

As you can see from the following pictures she is getting good at transitioning from fingers in the mouth to "Cheese!"

They're surrounding us...

We had some large visitors around the house the other day...

This guy was hanging out in the back yard...

Hamilton was cowering on the deck in terror.

These two were hanging out by the house...

Olive thought the elk were pretty interesting...

And apparently they thought we were equally interesting.

Cheese.

Festival 8

For Halloween weekend this year we rented an RV and headed out to California to see Dad's favorite band for three days in the desert. Grandma came along to help entertain Olive so Mom and Dad could go to the late night shows.

It was a fun-filled weekend. We blew bubbles, watched movies, took walks, visited the farmers market, people watched and carved pumpkins. And of course we dressed up for Halloween and ate lots of candy. Olive went as a bumble bee this year. Grandma was a witch and Mom and Dad went as German Beer Connoisseurs.

We learned a lot about traveling, saw some great music, and created a lot of memories. We can't thank grandma enough for all her help.
