Not only was this past Sunday Olive's first Easter but it was also another milestone in her life...her first cold. On Sunday we had been hoping to go on a family picnic since the weather here in Flagstaff has been warm and sunny but, alas, we spent the day tending to our little Olive princess, wiping her nose and doing our best to keep her comfortable.
Olive is on the mend but I'm not sure if she has been as miserable as her parents! It is so hard to see your little baby sick. Like Will always tells me, "She is kind of like a new car...the first dings in the door are the hardest to take." You will see from the pictures below that her sickness didn't stop us from putting silly glasses on her and making fun of her literacy status.

The "Greats" Visit
Last week Olive got to meet her Great Uncle and Great Aunts on the Schroer side. John Clark and Muffet made the long journey from snowy Chicago and Judy and Mary Ann came up from sunny San Diego to meet the newest member of our family. No one would commit on who Olive looked like but all agreed that she did have the "Schroer ears." Poor girl. "The better to hear with," I suppose! We had a great visit and enjoyed having dinner and catching up with the clan. We hope to see them again soon and hope they had fun at Aunt Judy's in San Diego. We wish we could have tagged along!

Olive's Babysitting Crew
This was the week that Molly had to go back to work. Since we know that it is always hard to leave your little one Molly's parents came out and stayed for a week to babysit Olive. It made leaving Little O a littler easier when we knew she was with people that loved her so much (even though we have a suspicion that Nancy was pinching Olive to make her cry...ha ha...). They had an exciting week of diaper changes, Louisville Cardinal games, smiles and playing with the blue bird. Even the dogs and cat got some attention from the two. They did such a good job that they are invited back anytime. Olive's first babysitters did a great job.

Back to Sequoia
Molly, Olive and I made a journey to our old stomping grounds this past weekend. As you can tell from all the pictures we had a blast. It was a weekend of potlucks, dancing, big trees, pizza parties, old stories, and great people. We can't thank everyone enough for all the hospitality. We miss you guys and think of everyone so often. Of all the things we miss about Sequoia, our 'family' is what we miss the most.
We even managed to get back to Flagstaff without anyone stealing Olive (you know who you are).
Thank you guys!
