Happy Birthday Papa!
I had a great birthday today. I got to sleep in then Molly made me breakfast, and I even got to finish a cup of coffee (which is rare these days). Olive then helped me open my wonderful gifts. I had a ballgame today and we had a beautiful day to spend at the ballpark. I even had a couple of extra fans -- Vicki and Erin -- rooting for me today. We finished off the day with homemade pizza and ice cream. It would be tough to have had a better 34th birthday. Thanks to everyone for all the nice gifts, phone calls and emails.

Rice Cereal YUMMM!
Lately, Olive has been interested in us when we have been eating plus she has been "chewing" a lot. We decided it was time for Little O to have her first taste of solid food: good ole rice cereal. The cereal looked like wallpaper paste but Olive ate it up like it was candy. The majority of it went IN her and not ON her! I'm sure we will be posting pictures of her first vegetable meal in the upcoming weeks.

Happy Mother's Day!
It is still weird to think that I, Molly, am a mother but what a great first Mother's Day I've had! Will took Olive when she woke up this morning and I got to sleep in until 5:30 am! WOW! (It was nice to get to lay in bed for awhile even if it was still early.) After "lounging," I came down to a nice breakfast complete with yummy hot chocolate made for me by Will. I opened some very nice cards and gifts and both Will and I called our mother's and Will's sister to wish them happy days.
It was such a beautiful day here, I decided that the best way to celebrate would be to go on a walk on one of Flagstaff's many trails. They have a very elaborate Urban Trail system that we have not yet had a chance to explore so we headed to the Soldier's Trail at Fort Tuthill County Park and took a 4 mile hike. We made a picnic out of it and spent a while laying in the shade of the ponderosa pines, ate sandwiches, drank Nu-Grape (my FAVORITE!) and played with Olive. I think that every day should be mother's day....
We decided to see what would happen if Olive got to control the camera...now we know what her fingers and toys see...

Full day
Olive had quite a day yesterday. She spent the afternoon cheering at Daddy's ballgame. After that she attended our friend Vicki Allen's birthday party. Needless to say, we all slept well.

4 months!
Olive had her 4 month check up a few days ago. We are happy to report that she is a healthy little girl. Her weight is in the 50th percentile as well as her head (always a concern for a Jaynes baby). Her height is in the 75th percentile. She was a good girl at the doctor and got lots of compliments, including one about her nice round head.
We are enjoying a lazy morning around the house today and will be going to the park later in the afternoon.
